Nazareth Hall, Grand Rapids, OH

If you dream of getting married in a castle on the French countryside, you just might love Nazareth Hall. Their grotto is a replica of a famed grotto in Lourdes, France! The property features lush grounds alongside a beautiful stream. Nazareth has a non-denominational chapel on-site, and its beautiful stained-glass windows will make you feel immersed in old-world elegance. There are multiple ballroom options, including a library. The Cadet West Ballroom is my personal favorite – hello, chandeliers of my dreams!

Meadow Brook Hall, Rochester, MI

A National Historic Landmark, Meadow Brook Hall is perfect for a stunning, fairy tale wedding that will make your guests feel transported back in time. Its grandiose exterior is jaw-dropping, surrounded by lush gardens with so many perfect spots for photo ops. The Hall’s stewards are experts at curating every detail. Indoors, a grand two story ballroom is the perfect backdrop for a stunning celebration, and an assortment of vintage rooms immerse you in historic opulence.

Cuneo Mansion in Vernon Hills, IL

The historic Loyola at Cuneo Mansion & Gardens is a unique venue and museum that hosts gorgeous wedding receptions. Formal gardens surround the Venetian style architecture. Indoors, the photo opportunities are endless, rooms laden out with gorgeous art and elaborate chandeliers. Step inside and you’re transported right to Europe!

Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens, Akron, OH

The historic Hall & Gardens include 70 acres of beautiful garden settings surrounding the Tudor Revival Manor House. There are multiple ceremony and reception locations to fit your unique style, such as an English garden styled terrace, tea houses, and a restored Shipman garden. The house’s historic architecture displays stunning leaded glass windows.

The Felt Estate, Holland, MI

While not the size of a literal castle, there’s something so historic and glamorous about the Felt Mansion. It boasts unique European architecture and features everything from elaborate art-deco tile to intricate mahogany woodwork. Management is kind and lovingly cares for the property, including a quaint white chapel. And don't even get me started on the amazing vintage floral wallpaper!

Our Bridgerton-inspired shoot with The Felt Estate was recently featured in WeddingDay Magazine. Check it out to get inspiration on your own historically-inspired wedding!

Colvin House, Chicago, IL

Renovated in the 1920s, The Colvin House is more a mansion than a castle, but is steeped in history and an absolutely stunning interior. It’s a modern option for vintage lovers. It features lush gardens and sits across from the lake on Sheridan Road. It’s the perfect option if you want a historic option surrounded by the modern glamor of Downtown Chicago!

I hope these castle wedding venues give you a great starting point for your fairy tale wedding needs!
